MELBOURNE, Fl. — In January, 2023, Christian Care Ministry– The nation’s leading health care sharing ministry’s Government and Public Affairs Director Lindsey Swindle represented Christian Care Ministry at the Brevard Delegation Hearing. Each year before the state of the legislative session, a public meeting where various government entities, community organizations, and citizens speak on the issues of importance to them is held.
Lindsey was one of 70 speakers who went before the State Senate and State House Members. She shared about Christian Care Ministry and the Medi-Share program, including celebrating 30 years of sharing, Accreditation, and Project Keep.
Christian Care Ministry is entering their 30th year of healthcare sharing and was the first to earn Accreditation through the independent Healthcare Sharing Accreditation Board (HCSAB) in 2022. This accreditation provides third-party validation and additional reassurance about the integrity and credibility of the Medi-Share program as a viable option for families looking to manage healthcare costs in a way that is consistent with their beliefs.
Christian Care Ministry has a prayer outreach program for elected officials and staff called Project Keep (Keeping Elected Officials Encouraged through Prayer). Each day Medi-Share members and employees pray for specific elected officials by name.
Lindsey quote: It is a privilege to represent Christian Care Ministry and the Medi-Share community, and to introduce the concept of healthcare sharing to our local Senate and State house members. As we enter our 30th year of sharing, we are fortunate to have forged strong relationships and standing with our representatives and members throughout Florida and I look forward to building upon those relationships as we enter a new legislative season.
