MELBOURNE, Fla. – July 20, 2021—Medi-Share, America’s leading medical cost sharing organization, is partnering with Missions.Me for its week-long community outreach, known as 1DayLA. Starting yesterday, a team of Medi-Share employees and leaders joined more than 1,000 teams who will provide 1,000,000 hours of community service with outreach and medical assistance throughout the Los Angeles area this week.
1DayLA combines numerous local non-profits, businesses, and government programs and together facilitates medical aid, community festivals, neighborhood beautification projects, sports camps, and homeless outreaches.
This 1DayLA event is an opportunity for Christian Care Ministry, which manages the Medi-Share medical cost sharing program, to work alongside several of its National Outreach partners including The Global Orphan Project, Volunteers in Medicine, Missions.Me, and Student Leadership University. Christian Care Ministry is committed to service in its communities, locally and nationally, and gives employees 24 hours of paid time off each year to volunteer at the non-profit of their choice.
Scott Reddig, CEO of Christian Care Ministry/Medi-Share explains, “Our outreach strategy is to build up and empower our Medi-Share medical cost sharing community of members, providers, and employees, to connect with other organizations who are doing their part to be the hands and feet of Christ and, ultimately, fulfill the Great Commission. We are excited about 1DayLA as we serve alongside our national outreach partners during this transformative event and help equip them for future efforts.”
Christian Care Ministry’s National Outreach Program seeks to encourage Employees, Medi-Share Members, and Medical Providers to actively participate in community service opportunities.
